Danielle Fisher, MSS, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in the treatment of adolescents, families, as well as adults. Danielle earned her bachelor’s in psychology, minoring in biology from Franklin & Marshall College. After graduating she attended PCOM, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine receiving her postbachlorette in biomedical sciences. Her plan was to attend medical school however ended up meeting several social workers from Byrn Mawr School of Social Work who made an impact on her decision to pursue a degree in social work. Danielle went on to earn her Master’s in Social Sciences from Bryn Mawr School of Social Work in 2000.
Danielle has practiced individual, group, and family psychotherapy with all age ranges as well as diagnostic profiles since 2000. Her approach with clients is interactive and collaborative, utilizing a holistic model. She uses a blend of strengths- based practices as well as mindfulness, designed to meet the needs of each client. Danielle believes it is crucial to provide a safe environment where individuals can explore their inner life, leading to growth and change. She works with clients to develop healthier ways of coping in order to manage overwhelming emotions, learning to self-regulate and tolerate distress. Danielle views the client as the expert in his/her journey, helping to empower clients by encouraging examination of how the past creates obstacles to healthy relationships to oneself and others.
Danielle currently works as a clinical therapist in a High School located in Cherry Hill, providing individual, family, and group therapy to students who are struggling with mood and anxiety disorders. Prior to her work in the school, Danielle has provided therapy at various levels of care, working for several years in an Intensive Outpatient program for dually diagnosed clients. Her primary focus over the past 15 years has been in outpatient settings, working with adolescents, adults, and families. Danielle’s experiences have strengthened her clinical skills as well as her natural ability to connect to others.
